Trade Agreement between the Government of the
Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the
Arab Republic of Egypt

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, hereinafter referred to as «the Parties»,
Desirous of strengthening traditional relations of friendship between the peoples of the two countries and to support bilateral trade relations on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual benefit,
Have agreed as follow:
ARTICLE 1
The Parties shall take all necessary measures for the development of bilateral trade and shall set for this purpose all conditions according to the national legislations of the states, and the international laws, rules and norms.
Each party refrains from actions which may cause economic damage to the state of the other Party, and also makes all efforts for the realization of this purpose within the framework of this Agreement.
ARTICLE 2
1. For the purpose of the creation reciprocal beneficial conditions for development of trade co-operation, the Parties accord each other Most-Favored-Nation treatment according to the national legislation of the Parties concerning:
a) Customs duties and any charges imposed on export and/or import and methods of collection of such duties and charges;
b) Rules and formalities concerning import and export, including customs clearance, transit, warehousing and reloading;
c) Taxes and any other internal charges used directly or indirectly concerning imported goods;
d) Methods of payments and transfer of such payments;
e) Licensing for export and/or import according to national legislations of the states.
2. The provisions of Most-Favored-Nation treatment shall not include:
a) Advantages accorded by the state of one of the Parties to the neighboring states for simplification of frontier trade and transportation;
b) The advantages accorded or will be accorded to the third states on the basis of membership of the state of each Party in customs unions, a free trade area or other forms of trade and economic co-operation;
c) The advantages accorded to other developing states according lo the generalized system of Preferences.
ARTICLE 3
Export and/or import of the goods is made under conditions of contracts concluded between physical and legal persons of the states of the Parties according to national legislations of the states, and with established commercial practice concerning the prices, quality, deliveries and terms of payment.
